DEVELOPMENT OF THE SEA TRANSPORT IN GREECE

Summary

This article surveys the conditions and factors for development of the merchant fleet in Greece which is a basic branch of its economy. The role of Greece in the world sea trade was pointed out, as well as, the changes having occurred after the Second World War and problems of the present maritime transport of the country. Special attention was paid to the possibilities of Bulgarian – Greece cooperation in the sphere of trade relations by sea.
