MAN’S ACTIVITIES AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE RIVER RUN-OFF

(Summary)

This work aims to clarify whether the natural changes, caused by economic activities influence indirectly the river run-off and if it is really so, what are the consequences.

Numerous data about the run-off, precipitation and economic activities have been processed and analysed. They are classified by periods and regions in tables and diagrams. Thus, comparative studies and calculations of indices related to the river run-off changes in the environment, deteriorated by anthropogenic factors, are possible.

The author arrives at a conclusion that: a) man’s activities, although indirectly, have a significant impact on the river run-off; b) they affect the run-off in a different way but in our country, in particular its increase is clearly marked; c) the strongest this impact is during the growing period when it changes the run-off fluctuations.
