ON THE ESSENCE OF REGIONAL (GEOGRAPHICAL) EFFECTIVENESS OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION

Summary

The contents of the category regional (geographical) effectiveness of industrial production are defined as a result of economo-geographical investigations of the territorial organization of the chemical industry in Bulgaria. It is a qualitatively distinctive feature of the economical, social and ecological results of the development of a certain territorial-industrial system. The three-dimensional distinctiveness of geographical effectiveness is consequently realized in each unit of the system, thus taking the form of a qualitatively new territorial result. From this point of view the essence of geographical effectiveness finds its realization in the qualitative distinctiveness of the regional — territorial result (economical, social, ecological) of the development of a certain territorial — industrial complex in the course of time. The point is made that every effectiveness is territorial but not every territorial effectiveness is a geographical (regional) one. 

In the second part of the article the advantages of the profit when the regional (geographical) effectiveness is quantitatively measured are revealed.
