Summary

The economic-geographic research of the development and the territorial structure of agriculture in Bulgaria should be based on detailed studies of the economic and social activities of the agricultural industrial complexes (AIC) — the basic agricultural productive unit in Bulgaria.

The article is the first attempt to eleborate methodic instruction on the economic-geographic studies of AIC. There have been made definite recommendations for estimation and analysis of the geographic situation, the local natural and economic resources, the existing productive specialization and the social activity. The economic-geographic study of AIC is a method which gives the possibility to set agricultural regionalization of Bulgaria on a typological basis.
