CHANGES IN THE TERRITORIAL STRUCTURE  OF THE AGRICULTURAL ZONE AROUND SOFIA AND THE RELEVANT CONCEPTIONS

Summary

The quick increase of the population of Sofia and the efforts to be ensured to it a stable regime of rational nutrition stand for a long time as a main problem in the researches of many specialists – geographers, economists, agronomists and others. In the research, of these processes main place takes the agricultural production from the territories around the capital. It assures more and more than the necessary and the perishable nourishments and those that do not bear a long transport.

In the article are analyzed and grouped by periods the most important researches over the theme. To all of them is given a critical appreciation. It is marked that the huge number of the population and its constant increasing needs are in the base of forming a big agroindustrial complex with a suburban character on the territoray of Sofia and Sofia district. Except it the territories of the neighbour districts fall also within the range of the contemporary agricultural zone of the capital.
