PROBLEMS OF TRANSPORT SERVICE OF THE TOURISTS AND HOLIDAY-MAKERS AT THE BLACK SEA COAST

E. Terzyiska

Summary

The extension of the international and home economic and social tourism puts all the subsystems of transport to a big test, especially during the active seasons.

The problems that transport service of the tourists and holiday-makers causes can be united into three groups: a) state and further development of the transport network as a subsystem of the technical infrastructure; b) social; c) ecological.

As Varna and Bourgas are final stations of the three most important railways in our country and they are important road junctions too, the distribution of the basic passenger streams to all resorts, holiday houses and camps, starts from these two towns. 53% of the tourists and the holiday-makers are orientated towards Varna district, 43% – towards Bourgas district, and 4% towards Tolbukhin District. While the main road Constantsa–Varna–Bourgas–Istanbul is used intensively by the tourists and the holiday-makers in their transport service during their stay at the Black Sea Coast, the rest of the roads, that connect Varna and Bourgas with the interior of the country, are used as a direct approach to the whole seaside.

Four zones of transport accessibilities are marked at the Black sea coast so far as Varna and Bourgas are takenastarting-points.
