SOME CHANGES IN THE REGIME OF THE MISTY DAYS IN SOFIA RESULTING FROM A GENERAL CHANGE OF THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT

Summary

In a number of our works it is shown that the general change of the urban environment in Sofia under the impact of the increasing city industrialization has led to some typical changes in the regime both of rainfall and air-temperature.

In the present article an attempt was made to study the tendencies in the changes of the misty days number in Sofia in comparison with the surrounding territories on the base of parallel meteorological observations from stations in the city and outside its boundaries for a period of 55 years. Three periods are determined for which the relation between the misty days in, and outside the city has shown different tendencies of change.
