COMPLEX CLIMATIC ANALYSIS OF THE DROUGHTS IN NORTH BULGARIA

Summary

The droughts in North Bulgaria have been studied by applying the complex climatic analysis or Fedorov-Chubukov. Two weather classes called respectively "very dry" and moderately dry" are generally known as drought. Dry periods are marked by specific air temperature and humidity. Cloudiness and winds which together with the rainless conditions adversely affect the phyliological processes or plants during their vegetation. There have been traced put the monthly drought frequency. Attention has also been paid to the fact how often droughts occur within one and the same month for several consecutive years. Droughts have been analyzed from the viewpoint of their changes since the beginning of the 20-th c., their territorial distribution and probability of occurrence from early April till late September.
