Summary

The article represents an attempt at a concept for territorial organization of the international social tourism in Bulgaria. The proposed perspective model is based on the existing territorial distribution of the infrastructure of the system “Rest and Recreation”. As a methodological tool was used the Spacio-temporal model of the diffusion of the innovation. The basic model is modificated, aiming to increase the adequacy of the method to the concrete conditions of the recreational system in Bulgaria. The main point of the thesis raised is to prove the ability of the international social tourism to overcome some of the existing disproportions in space and temporal functioning of the system of tourism and recreation in Bulgaria.
